Dua Lipa is an English singer/songwriter from London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 following her joined Warner Bros Records. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts and released 8 singles. They included Be the one I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number one track New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. One track New Rules. The album, which has since been certified Platinum in various countries across the world was awarded the two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) in the categories of British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough artist. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London, was born on the 22nd of August, 1995. She is of Bosnian heritage by the maternal grandparents of her. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa began to learn how guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of the Kosovan-rock band Oda. In her home, Lipa's father played music of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only 5 years old. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing as she was nine years old. Lipa recorded the song If I Ain't Gotta You by Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera for YouTube. The contract for her record to Warner Bros. Records was made in the year the year 2014. Her debut single New Love was released in August of 2015.
