Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, while her mother was English. She was born on a South London community estate, and at the age of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She earned her BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy and performing in numerous stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career began in the series Storm Damage. In the years since, she's appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her success led her to play Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in the six-episode series Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2008. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast on The CW before being cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was announced in May 2013. After a period of two years as a main character, she appeared as a guest in the opening episode of season 3. On the show Salem the actress played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a huge family from Hamilton, Ontario. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball parks because her brothers, who were all athletic, played baseball, hockey, as well as both during winter and summer. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. As she was two and a half, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a dancer who competed throughout the various categories until the time she graduated from high school. She competed in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. Every important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top Soloist".
